Acupuncture points and meridians
Shiatsu - Tui Na - Acupressure
When we feel pain, we naturally put our hand to rub, squeeze and massage the painful area for relief.
The massage is the the oldest and most effective of modality care .
Rubbing the skin stimulates blood circulation and metabolism of the affected area. This action has direct beneficial effects not only on the surrounding skin and muscles, but also on the nerves, blood vessels, cells and organs beneath the skin.
The principle of Shiatsu (Japanese), Tui Na (Chinese) or acupressure, is the same as acupuncture but by using finger pressure. Fourteen major meridians are used as energy pathways and classical acupuncture points are therapeutic points.
